The Christmas Season 2007

In the middle of the month, we were able to go for a ride on the "Polar Express" in Heber with my family. This is a cute picture of Wes with his grandma and grandpa Andersen during our ride to the North Pole.

Ryan and Em relaxing on our long journey
Dave and I enjoying the ride
Wes and Grandma looking out the window
Wes always gets into some of the most awkward positions while he sleeps.
We make gingerbread houses every year with my family and this is what Dave and I came up with this year.
This is our little Holiday set up

The National Finals Rodeo! December 7th thru Decemeber 9th

Dave and I were lucky enough to go to The National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas this year. We went with Daves cousin Candice and her husband K.C. it was sooo much fun! We left Wes home with his Grandma and Grandpa Andersen and spent a long weekend shopping, playing, eating and most importantly going to the awesome rodeo two nights in a row. It was so much fun and I know we will never forget it!!!
Candice and I at Fremont Street (the old strip) While we were there, we saw a group of three ladies (standing behind us) and could not get over how funny it was that they had not only matching outfits and purses bur haircuts as well.
This is one of three huge expo centers filled with cowboy merchandise. Candice and I had A LOT of fun shopping wile Dave and K.C. followed nervously adding up all of our reciepts.
The first night we went to the rodeo, K.C. surprised us all with a huge Escalade limo for the ride! What a stud we had so much fun!
K.C., Candice, me, and Dave in front of the huge limo.
K.C., Trevor Brazile, and Candice Trevor Brazile won the all around cowboy award by the time the rodeo was over! He is won an event every night and is the "biggest cowboy" in the circuit.
Dave and I were able to go through a session at the Vegas Temple while we were there. It was so nice to do, we unfortunatley haven't been able to go as often as we like since Wes has been born.
Candice, K.C., Me. and Dave at Fremont Street
We thought that this picture was a classicand couldn't pass up on the opportunity to get it.
Every night before the rodeo started, all of the contestants came out in groups with there state flag. Texas had something like 36 contestants.
Dave and K.C. were on a bowling kick and we went bowling almost every night. K.C. kept talkin' up how good he was, but in the end Dave came out with the win every time.
K.C. seems to know all of the right people, and was able to get us back stage at the Buckle Ceremony to meet all of the winners from that night. This is one of our favorite pictures Dave and I with the one and only Trevor Brazile.

Wesley's First Birthday! (11/28/2007)

On Wesley's birthday day(November 28th), his cousin Nicole came over and gave him a gift!!
We also gave him a little cupcake to celebrate!
YUM!!! YUM!!!
Grandpa Lehman, Wes, and Dave - what a good lookin' group.
The Sunday after his birthday, we had all of his cousins and aunts and uncles that live nearby come over for a little party. I made a cake to look like Wes's favorite toy - we call him Monk Monk.
What a cute little birthday boy!
Dig in buddy!
I don't know if he even ate any cake, it looks like it was strictly frosting.
